I have gotten the meanest cats ti purr fir me.
Introduce yourself (this may take time), put it in your lap – with its head at your knees, and don’t stop petting it until it purrs.* It may take 30.minutes, but it will work! My family calls the cat whisperer.
*Treats may be necessary between introduction and lap time.
