With my Dublin, I do gush over almost everything he does, especially when he does what I call “da rolly rolly,” which is when he flops onto his back and rolls around from side to side. Then if I don’t let him sniff my foot and gently rub his head and his belly with my foot, he seems to wonder what he did wrong.
When these sorts of things happen, it’s never him – it’s always me.
